Origin: Piedralphia is based off of a gigantopithecus, an extinct species of giant ape. It is also based off of trees and petrified wood. The plank in the shape of a tie hanging from its neck is a reference to the character Donkey Kong, and the cuffs on its arms and legs suggest formal wear.
