it's time for a competition! It's been a while since I had one, so here's something to get everyone interested.
THE GOAL------------------
The aim of the competition is to create a Fakemon based on a video game or video game character. It's that simple! And no, Pokemon doesn't count... it's already going to be a Fakemon, smart arse
THE JUDGING--------------
Anyone who knows me will know that I prize creativity equally alongside art skill - if not more so.
The winner will be judged by both these qualities, so even if you don't think of yourself as a great artist but you think you have a great idea, you should still give it a go! I will also be looking for how well the design fits in with the Pokemon world.

1st Prize100 points & a full colour drawing of the winning entry in my style.
2nd prize 50 points & a line art drawing of the winning entry in my style.
3rd prize25 points & a sketch of the winning entry in my style.
THE RULES---------------------
The rules are simple, but here they are outlined for you in detail. If you're unsure of anything, please don't hesitate to ask either via comment here or by sending me a private note
The deadline will be a month from now to give everyone a chance to take part. The entry that will be judged will be the last one submitted before deadline, so until then, you may change your entry if you wish. The contest ends on the 21/05/2013
Create a Fakemon based on an existing video game or video game character, past or present. It can have anywhere from one to three evolutions. It can be any type you wish, but no fan-made fake types please. The design can be in any visual medium or style you wish, as long as it looks like a Pokemon - that includes digital art, sprites, etc. Your submission needs a Pokedex entry. It doesn't have to be really long unless you want it to - just something to give it a bit more background. This may reference my own Fakemon if you wish, but that's optional. Any extra information you wish to include - moves tables, extra concept drawings, etc - are welcome but optional. If they add something to the entry, they will be taken into consideration while judging (so that means lots of extra drawings won't really help if they don't add extra dimensions to the main design!) I must recieve a reasonable amount of entries for the competition to go ahead and prizes to be won; if only two people enter, obviously the deadline will be extended. It must be a new Fakemon created with this competition in mind - nothing old from your gallery, please You must be willing to have it featured in my fakedex. This doesn't mean you can't use it yourself too, of course! You must create a journal advertising this competition. Please send me a link with your journal and competition entry both together when you've made them; the more entries I get, the more fun it will be! Each contestant can subit more than one Fakemon evolutionary line. It is impossible for two different designs made by the same person to win the same position though (for example, if you entered two designs, you couldn't win first prize twice, though one design could win first and the second could win third). My judgement will be final. I very much doubt I'll have any problems there, but it needs to be said purely to cover my own back!
