The Subspace Emissary (Chapter 8)

A young man in green walked through Hyrule's forests. He had received word that King Harkinian was under attack from Ganon. He just wondered what Ganon was up to.
Gwonam floated down and told Link the bad news. He then told him to go get the Master Sword, as it would help him in the coming battles. It is written on the prophetic scrolls that a hero in green shall team up with others to tear down an army of darkness.
Link nodded and charged into the forest. Gwonam sent his farewells and floated away on his carpet.
Meanwhile, in a clearing, a small green dinosaur lay sleeping on a tree stump. Peacefully sleeping, this dinosaur had a large snout and red scales on its neck, curled on its woody bed.
This was Yoshi.
Mario always used to take rides on Yoshi, even when he was a little baby. Yoshi didn't mind. In fact, Yoshi was the one who helped Mario reunite with his parents, along with countless other babies.
Yoshi stirred when a person ran past him. The dinosaur looked up.
Link stopped when the dinosaur stared at him. It was bugging him, how it was staring at him with its big eyes.
Link approached Yoshi carefully. They eyed each other. they circled around each other, seeing if they could trust each other.
That trust would have to come soon. The sky became blood-red, the color that signified the arrival of Meta Knight's usurped battleship Halberd.
The ship flew overhead. Link looked at Yoshi. They knew that the ship had to be stopped.
Link and Yoshi ran through the forest, chasing after the battleship.

In the Halberd's cargo hold, several boxes lay stacked. The cargo hold was next to the engine room, so the hum of Wheelies could be heard powering the ship.
A particular box, printed with orange ink, lay in the middle of the hold. The box shifted, as if somebody was inside of it.

Link and Yoshi emerge from the forest, and spy the Halberd flying away. They follow the ship, trying to learn where it was going and what for.
